QR codes for Joist Payments
Updated over a month ago

Your clients can now scan a QR code on their printed estimates & invoices to pay online. Connecting offline printed documents to online payments makes it even easier for your clients to pay and helps you to get paid promptly!

To use this feature, first make sure you're set up for Joist Payments with PayPal or Stripe.

You can skip ahead and activate this feature right away by visiting the Payments settings for Joist on your mobile device. If you're using Joist on a computer, click here.

For a full description of how to enable the feature step by step, read on:

With Joist Payments fully set up, you can edit an existing estimate/invoice (or create a new document), enable the payment option on the estimate/invoice and then save.

Finally, select the option to print and you'll see a pop-up to enable QR codes, tap "Got It" to enable QR codes for all of your payments enabled estimates and invoices.

You won't see the QR code on your saved documents in the Joist app, but it will show up on the print preview and when you print paper copies.

Note: After enabling QR codes, you can manage this setting at any time in the Payments settings of the app on mobile, or by clicking here on your computer.
