Why should you signup for Joist Payments?
Updated over 2 months ago

Faster Payouts

Most contractors get the funds in their bank account in 1-2 business days.

Instant Transfers are available for those times when you need the funds right away, allowing you to have the money in your bank account within an hour for a 1% fee that caps at just $10.

Easy for clients

More and more, clients are expecting online payment options from their contractors. With Joist Payments, they can pay you in whichever way works best for them: credit, debit, or PayPal.

And they can make the payment right away, from the convenience of their computer or mobile device.

Easy for the client means faster payments for you.

Saves you time

No more having to meet the client after the job is done to get your money.

No more wasted effort in trying to find a time to meet that works for you both.

No more time wasted driving from one location to the next just to get the funds in your account.

Joist Payments helps you spend your time where it's needed most.

Always optional

Cash is king and we're not here to dispute that. You get to decide when your clients have the option to pay online or not.

The main thing is knowing that when a client is demanding online payment options like credit, debit, or PayPal, you've got it covered.

How do I signup?

See our guide here for a full walkthrough: Signing up for PayPal with Joist

You'll first be asked to create a PayPal Business account, which automatically connects to your Joist account and enables you to process payments.

Once that's done, within the Payments section of your Joist app you'll see the final steps you need to take, which include connecting your bank account in PayPal and turning on automatic transfers.
