What if my client gets a payment error?

Rarely, a client may get an error message after submitting their payment information. When this happens, your client should try the guest checkout instead.

To access the guest checkout, instruct your client to select the Pay with PayPal button on their invoice. This will open a new window and then your client can select the Pay with Debit or Credit Card button to access the guest checkout (note: your client does not require a PayPal account to use the guest checkout).

On the guest checkout page, your client can enter their credit card information and attempt their payment again.

If your client still receives an error message when using the guest checkout, this means PayPal has declined to process the payment. PayPal may decline payments for your protection if they determine that a payment is high risk.
