Do I need an EIN to use Joist Payments?

You do not need to have an EIN or be a registered business to use Joist Payments. When you sign up for payments, you will be asked to fill out a form, which will by default assume you are a registered business -- but you can change this by clicking the "click here" link in the Account Details section near the top of the screen.
This will give you the option to select what best describes you. Click on Business and change it to Individual. The form below will update and you can fill it out as required.
