I’m ready, let’s make the switch
Please note: we are no longer taking card reader orders at this time. If you already own a Joist card reader it will continue to operate as normal.
1 Charge the card reader in any USB port
Every charge holds 200 - 400 swipes.
Note: Don’t worry about turning on Card Reader’s BlueTooth just yet. It needs to be connected within Joist (not through Bluetooth in iOS Settings)
2 Create a new payment on an invoice.
Payments > New > Process Credit Card
3 Enter payment amount & connect to reader via BlueTooth
Ensure BlueTooth on both phone and card reader is on.
4 Insert or swipe the credit card
If your client pays with an EMV or "chip card," you'll need to insert rather than swipe.
5 Collect signature & email receipt
Email your invoice to your client to send them the payment receipt.
