I’m ready, let’s make the switch
On November 4th, some Joist Payments WePay accounts will be reset in order to meet new regulatory requirements. If you've received an email or in-app message about this recently, please review the FAQ below for more details.
How do I continue accepting payments through Joist?
Before November 4th, no action is required and you can continue accepting payments as normal.
On November 4th, you will receive an email letting you know your account has been reset with instructions on how to complete the signup process again, which should take about five minutes.
Once you complete the signup process, you can continue processing payments again.
What happens if I don't complete the signup process again?
Starting November 4th, payments will be temporarily disabled on your Joist account until the signup process is complete. Any estimate or invoice you send at this time will not include the option for your client to pay through Joist Payments.
After 15 days, if the signup process is not complete, WePay will be required to close your payments account.
How can I complete the signup process?
Starting November 4th, simply go to the Payments section in your Joist app and follow the instructions there.
We will also send you instructions by email on November 4th.
Can I complete signup process before November 4th?
Your payments account must remain active up to November 4th, so you cannot complete the signup process again until that time.
Will you remind me about this?
Yes, we will send you reminder emails and in app messages to make sure you know when and how to complete the signup process again.
If I don't want to use Joist Payments anymore do I have to do anything?
No, you can ignore these messages and your WePay account will simply be closed 15 days after November 4th. No action required. Your Joist account will not be affected.
What can I do if I have more questions?
We're here to help. You can reach a live agent through the Help section of Joist from 9am to 8pm EST on weekdays, 9am to 6pm EST on weekends. Or send us an email at hello@joist.com and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
