Collecting Payment
Once your Express Invoice is created, choose how you'd like to collect payment. Express Invoices support the same payment methods as standard invoices:
Tap to Pay: Collect secure card payments in person. Learn more in our Tap to Pay article.
Email or Text Payment Link: Send your client a secure payment link so they can pay online by card.
Cash or Check: If your client pays by cash or cheque, you can manually mark the Express Invoice as paid.
Important: Express Invoices is an online-payments-first feature. This means that even if online payments are disabled in your Joist Payments settings, the online payment option will automatically be enabled for the Express Invoice you are creating.
If you don’t want to accept online payments, edit the invoice after creating it and manually turn off the online payment option before sending it.
