Scheduling in Joist Run helps you plan your work and stay on top of what's coming up. Instead of tracking appointments in a separate calendar or notebook, you can create visits directly in Joist and keep your schedule connected to your jobs, clients, and project details.
Scheduling is included with Joist Run, Joist's premium plan for solo contractors. Joist Run also includes Jobs, plus everything in Elite.
What Scheduling can do
Create visits for upcoming appointments, site work, or any scheduled task
Link visits to a job so your schedule and project details stay connected
View visits organized by timeframe: This Week, Next Week, Upcoming, and Past
Search your schedule by visit name, client, job, address, or notes
Create standalone visits that aren't tied to a job, for quick one-off appointments
A visit can be created on its own or connected to an existing job, so you can work in the order that makes the most sense for your business.

Frequently asked questions
Can I create a visit without linking it to a job?
Yes. Visits can be standalone or linked to a job, depending on your needs.
Can I link more than one visit to the same job?
Yes. A job can have multiple visits linked to it, which is useful for projects that require several site appointments.
Can one visit belong to more than one job?
No. A visit can only be linked to one job at a time.
What happens to my visits if I cancel Joist Run?
Your existing visits remain visible, but after your plan ends, you won't be able to create or edit visits without an active Joist Run plan.
Can I use Scheduling without Jobs?
Yes. Scheduling and Jobs are both included in Joist Run, and while they work well together, you can use Scheduling on its own with standalone visits.
