What if my iPhone / iPad can't take photos or add photos?
What if my iPhone / iPad can't take photos or add photos?
Updated over a week ago

iPhones / iPads now require permission for Joist to access your photos and camera (iOS 14 and above).

If the "TAKE PHOTO" or "CHOOSE PHOTO" buttons in Joist are not working, you will need to go to the Settings app on your iPhone / iPad and grant permission for Joist to access your photos and use your camera.

Here are the steps you'll need to follow:

1. Go to the home screen on your iPhone/iPad and locate the Settings app

2. Tap on the Settings app to open it and then scroll down until you see Joist

3. Tap on the line for Joist and then enable access to "All Photos" and your Camera

4. And that's it, you're all done! Exit the Settings app, go back to the Joist app, and then you should be able to take photos and use your camera as normal. You may need to restart the Joist app if these new settings don't take effect immediately, however.
