A link to view the work order will be sent to each recipient, the same as when you send an estimate or invoice to a client.
Here's how you can create Work Orders in Joist. Use the links to jump to instructions for:
iOS
Step 1: Tap the More button in the top right corner
Step 2: Tap Create Work Order
Step 3: A work order will be generated from the original document, with pricing and other sensitive data removed.
Step 4: Tap Send
Step 5: Choose either email or SMS
Step 6: Enter the email address(es) or phone number(s) you wish to send the work order and tap Send
After sending, the document will revert back to the original version in the Joist app. Note that if you make changes to the original document, these changes will be reflected in the work order you sent.
Android
When viewing a saved estimate or invoice;
Step 1: Tap the green circle in the bottom right corner
Step 2: Tap Work Order
Step 3: A work order will be generated from the original document, with pricing and other sensitive data removed. Tap the Green Circle to send.
Step 4: Choose either email or SMS
Step 5: Enter the email address(es) or phone number(s) you wish to send the work order and tap Send
After sending, the document will revert back to the original version in the Joist app. Note that if you make changes to the original document, these changes will be reflected in the work order you sent.
Web
