You can send your Joist estimates and invoices to your clients right from the Joist app as either an email or an SMS message.

Here's how:

iOS

First create and save your estimate or invoice, or tap to view any estimate or invoice already saved to your Joist account.

From the buttons presented at the top of the screen, tap Send. A list of options will now appear, allowing you to send By Email, By SMS, or by using the share options built into your iOS device.

If you choose to send by email, you will be taken to the Send Email screen. Here the email address for your client will already be included in the To section, if you've added this information to your document. If not, you can tap in this field and enter the email address now.

You can customize the Subject and the body of the email if you like.

When you are ready, simply tap the Send button in the top right corner of the screen and Joist will send the email to your client on your behalf.

If you choose to send by SMS, your messaging app will open with a new message ready to send to your client's phone number. If no phone number was included in the client section of your estimate or invoice, you can enter the number in the To section at the top of the screen now.

You can customize the message if you like, just be sure not to edit or remove the link we've added. This link is how your client will be able to view the estimate or invoice.

When you are ready, simply tap the send button in your messaging app and an SMS will be sent to your client.
