How do I add a description to the photos in my estimates and invoices?

Adding a description to a photo is a great way to communicate your ideas to your client, and Joist makes it easy.

Here's how:

iOS

First, make sure you've added some photos to your estimate or invoice:

While editing your estimate or invoice, scroll down to the Attachments section and tap on the Photos button to view your added photos.

Next, tap the Tap here to add a description button at the bottom of any photo you want to add a description to.

Type in your description on the Photo Editor screen, then tap Save in the top right corner of the screen when you're done.

Repeat for any other photos as needed.

Android

First, make sure you've added some photos to your estimate or invoice:

While editing your estimate or invoice, scroll down to the Attachments section and tap the ADD button next to Photos view your added photos.

Next, tap Add description next to each photo you want to add a description to.

After you've added as many descriptions as needed, tap the back arrow in the top left corner to return to the Edit Estimate screen.

Web

We do not have a way to add a caption to a photo using the Joist web app at this time, but any caption you add from the mobile app will be visible when viewed on the web.
