Give you and your clients peace of mind and clarity by including a contract on your estimates and invoices in Joist.
Here's how:
iOS
First create a new estimate or invoice, or edit an existing one.
Scroll down to the Contract & Signature section and tap on Contract.
If a contract has already been added, you will see it listed here. Feel free to make changes to the contract here if you like, or to remove it tap the Remove Current Contract button at the bottom of the screen.
If there is no contract and you wish to add one, any contracts currently saved to your Joist account will be listed here for you to choose from. Joist includes a sample contract, named Generic Contract, which is set to be the default contract for all new accounts.
Tap any contract here to select it and make changes to the contract name or contents if you like. Tap Done in the top right corner to add it to your estimate or invoice.
Or create a new contract by tapping the New Contract button in the top right corner of the screen. You can give the contract a name (something only you will see, to help you when storing multiple contracts in your Joist account) and then type the contents of the contract or copy and paste the contents from another document.
Note that contracts in Joist are plain text and do not support rich text features like bold, italics and underline, colours or images.
Tap Done in the top right corner of the screen and your contract will be added to your estimate or invoice and saved to your Joist account for future use.

Web
First create a new estimate or invoice, or edit an existing one, then scroll down to the Contract section.
Option #1: Add a contract (if you don't see this option, skip to Option #2 below).
Click on the Add Contract button. This will take you to the Contracts screen where you can select from your list of saved contracts.
After you click on the Add Contract button, there will also be a New Contract button available if you prefer to create a new contract. Give your new contract a descriptive name and body, then click the Save button when you're done.
Option #2: Edit the existing contract
If the Add Contract button isn't available in the Contract section of your estimate/invoice, then you already have a contract added! Simply click on the button with the contract name to go to the Edit Contract screen.
From the Edit Contract screen, you can make edits to your existing contract, or click the back arrow to go back to your Contracts list and select a different contract. While editing a contract you can also remove it by clicking the Remove Contract button.
Any new contracts you create and save will be available for future use on other estimates and invoices.
