With Joist Expense Tracking in Joist Pro, you can stay organized by keeping all the expenses for a job in one place. Right from materials you purchase to equipment you rent, you can have these stored with the invoice so you can see the cost of the job.

Here's how you can use the Expense feature in Joist from and iOS or Android device.

iOS

From the Joist home screen

Step 1: Tap More in the bottom right corner

Step 2: Tap Expenses

Step 3: Tap Scan Receipt to submit a picture of your receipt, or manual entry to add the information from the receipt yourself.


Joist will scan your receipt and automatically fill in the essential details, saving you time. If the picture is blurry, please retake it for the best results.

Step 6: Confirm the information on the screen matches your receipt

Step 7: Select the category your receipt belongs under

Step 8: Link your expense to an Invoice

Step 9: Tap save

Android

From the Joist home screen

Step 1: Tap Manage in the bottom right corner

Step 2: Tap Expenses from the list of options

Step 3:Tap Scan Receipt to submit a picture of your receipt, or manual entry to add the information from the receipt yourself.
