We're Moving Forward

Joist Payments will no longer work with WePay as of June 1, 2024

To keep using Joist Payments, click here to switch to our new payment processing partner, Stripe.

Switching takes just a few minutes and ensures no disruption of service. Plus, you'll get new payment methods like Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Note: Below information is the legacy article for WePay and does not apply to Stripe. We'll have new help center articles for Stripe coming soon.

In most cases, credit card payments made by your client before 8pm EST will arrive in your bank account within 2 business days of the client issuing the payment. E-check payments typically arrive in 3-5 business days.

Chase customers now have same day deposits available. In most cases, credit card payments made by your client before 8pm EST will arrive in your bank account by midnight.

If you are new to Joist Payments, the timeline for credit card payments may be closer to 2-5 business days for your first few payments. This is because we are building a profile to help protect you from fraud and other types of risk. Once we have this profile in place your payments tend to process faster -- and safer.

The bank you use can also affect how long it takes for you to receive your funds. National banks will tend to be the fastest, whereas smaller, more regional banks and credit unions can take longer to process the payment on their end, which many result in an additional day or more of overall processing time.

If you expect to receive payments greater than $10,000 in a given week, check out our guide What is a reserve limit and can mine be increased? -- or simply reach out to us over Live Chat in the Help section of Joist between 9am and 8pm EST (6pm EST on weekends) to learn more.
