You can include taxes on your estimates and invoices in Joist, ensuring you collect all the necessary funds to cover your books for every project.
Taxes are applied at the line item level, meaning you can apply a tax to some items and not to others, giving you total control over how much tax you need to collect and for what reason.
Here's how:
iOS and Android
To add a tax to an estimate or invoice you are working on, first add or edit an item in your document.
From the line item editor screen just scroll to the bottom, where you'll find the option to add a new tax, or turn an existing tax on or off.
Repeat this step for any item you want to apply a tax to.
The taxes will be totalled in the Subtotal area of the document and labeled as the tax name you gave them.
