What happens to my estimate when I convert to an invoice?

When you convert an estimate to an invoice, you get a brand new invoice filled in with all the details that were included on the estimate, saving you a ton of time.

Even better, the original estimate remains in the estimates section of the app for you to refer back to any time.

Converting an estimate to an invoice will also change the status of the estimate from "pending" to "approved", to help you keep your list of estimates organized.

You may think that you need to delete the estimate after converting it to an invoice, but you can’t recover an estimate after it’s deleted, and you have unlimited storage in Joist, so there's no need to ever delete an estimate.
