How do I cancel my AI receptionist subscription?

If you start your subscription while on a trial, you will not be billed until your trial period ends. If you have a paid subscription, you can cancel your subscription at any time.

How to cancel your subscription

Step 1: Open the Joist app

Step 2: Select the AI Receptionist. You will find the AI Receptionist tab on:

  • Web: the left-side menu bar, then click AI Receptionist, and click Go To Your Assistant

  • iOS: click More in the bottom right corner of your page, and then click AI Receptionist from the list

  • Android: click Manage in the bottom right corner of your page, and then click AI Receptionist from the list

Step 3: On the top-right corner of the screen, click the Removal Instructions button

Step 4: You will see instructions on how to disconnect your call forwarding. Follow these steps to make sure your calls are no longer forwarded to the number you have set up. *see instructions at the bottom of this page on how to cancel without disconnecting if you still have paid time left on your subscription

Step 5: Click the Continue Cancellation button at the bottom of the pop-up page

Step 6: Follow the on-screen prompts to disconnect and confirm the cancellation.

If you still have time left in your billing cycle, and do not want to disconnect just yet, you can Continue Cancellation of the subscription, without disconnecting your call forwarding. Once canceled, you will see a banner pop-up that says your subscription has been canceled and will remain active until the end of your billing period.

Once your billing period is done and you have canceled your subscription, you will need to:

1. Go to your AI Receptionist account dashboard overview

2. Scroll down and click Make Changes on the left-hand side navigation bar

3. Once your on the Review Setup page, click on Live call capture on the left-side menu bar

4. Scroll down on the Live call capture page and follow the instructions to disconnect.

Once you have completed these step, your calls will no longer be forwarded to the number you had set up.
