How do I create an estimate?

Estimates that you create in Joist will be stored in your estimate list.

Here's how to create an estimate in Joist:

iOS

Tap the Estimates icon in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen to get to your estimate list. If you've never created an estimate before, this list will not contain any estimates just yet.

To create a new estimate, tap the + button in the top right corner of the screen.

This will open the Edit Estimate screen, where you can add a Client, Line Items, Photos, and more. Check the Creating Estimates and Invoices section of our support page for all the ins and outs of everything you can do there.

When you are finished building your estimate or just want to save your progress for now, tap the Save button in the top right corner. You can now either send your estimate to your client, continue editing, or come back to the estimate list to take action later.

Android

To create a new estimate, tap the Green Circle button in the bottom right corner of the screen.

This will open the Edit Estimate screen, where you can add a Client, Line Items, Photos, and more. Check the Creating Estimates and Invoices section of our support page for all the ins and outs of everything you can do there.

When you are finished building your estimate or just want to save your progress for now, tap the Checkmark button in the top right corner. You can now either send your estimate to your client, continue editing, or come back to the estimate list to take action later.
