Why do I have to switch from WePay to Stripe?
Updated over a week ago

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are currently using Joist Payments with PayPal, this article does not apply to you.

If you are still using WePay with Joist Payments, read on for more info:

WePay is shutting down its operations and starting June 1st, 2024 Joist Payments will no longer be able to process payments using WePay

We were so fortunate to work with WePay for as long as we did, but unfortunately, they have decided to stop providing online payment processing. With that, if you'd like to keep using Joist Payments, click here to switch to our new payment processing partner, Stripe.

What Changes?

1) Accept Apple Pay and Google Pay

2) A more robust merchant dashboard

3) Learn more about the transaction fees here

Switching takes just a few minutes and ensures no disruption of service with live WePay docs automatically switching to Stripe. Plus, you'll get new payment methods like Apple Pay and Google Pay.

I'm ready, let's make the switch!
